Gas Only Masonry – Vent-Free units are only good for gas logs, you will never be able to burn real wood. They’re great for renovations when replacing outdated units or when space is limited, but you’re limited when it comes to options for what you can burn.

Wood-Burning Masonry – This is your traditional masonry unit. Like to hear the snap & crackle of a log on a cold day? This is the unit for you. You can burn real wood, but you can also install a lower maintenance gas log option. Venting can be via masonry flue or metal flue – and the option is yours! Both options have their benefits that we are happy to discuss further when you’re ready.

Direct Vent – These units are metal boxes that have a glass front and operate as an appliance. While we do not sell or install these currently, we can be of assistance if you’re looking to replace your current unit and upgrade to a masonry unit.

Yes, our units pass for both types of gas options. You will need to select a specific burner for your gas source, but that will not affect your unit.
